The Internet Is Gushing Over Reports That Doug Emhoff Stuck Up For Kamala Harris To The GOP Senator's Husband Who Went Viral For Snubbing Her

I'm sure you remember this viral moment between then-vice president Kamala Harris and GOP Sen. Deb Fischer's husband. After swearing Sen. Fischer in, VP Harris went to shake her husband, Bruce Fischer's hand, and he seemed to snub her.

Well, CNN is reporting that Kamala's husband, Doug Emhoff, had something to say to Bruce Fischer about it on Inauguration Day.

When Fischer approached him, Emhoff reportedly refused to shake Fischer's hand at the ceremonial tea held at the White House. “Why would you try to shake my hand when you wouldn’t shake my wife’s hand?” he apparently asked.

Later, after the tense exchange, Fischer reportedly sought out Emhoff and apologized. By the end of the event, they were cordial and discussing things like golf, a source told CNN.

The internet gushed over the thought of Emhoff sticking up for Harris. "@DouglasEmhoff standing on business for his wife!" this person exclaimed.
