I'm A Celebrity star reportedly threatened to quit over pay

We don't even know all the stars heading into the jungle yet for the upcoming season of I'm A Celebrity... Get me out of Here! but it's already been revealed that one star reportedly threatened to quit the show over pay.

According to the Herald Sun, former NRL player turned TV host Beau Ryan was not at all impressed when he heard of AFL legend Nathan Buckley's reported $300,000 fee to appear on the show - which kicks off on January 3.

A production source working in the jungle told the publication the huge fee came out while the pair were performing tasks for the program, with Nathan supposedly revealing his tidy pay cheque to Beau.

As an employee of Channel Ten - that includes hosting duties for The Amazing Race Australia and Studio 10 - Beau is reportedly taking part in the jungle challenge show for free.

Channel 10 has been dropping hints and of course, fans on social media are having their best guess at just who will be flown into the Murwillumbah "jungle" for 20 nights of deprivation, disgusting challenges and a chance to charm the public into voting for them.

The full line-up has yet to be revealed, but the network have teased a beauty queen, reality star and comedian will be among those taking part.

It is the second year of hosting it in Australia, rather than South Africa, due to COVID restrictions, but given the British one was always filmed here, that's not a bad thing at all.

One trailer for the new season showed two cars in line for COVID testing - one number plate says "AFL star" and another says "beauty queen".

The Daily Mail reportedly had a source tell them they saw former AFL player and coach Nathan Buckley filming a promo "wearing khaki clothes and an Akubra hat as he was escorted by an I'm a Celebrity crew member", not far from the set.
