Everything we know about I'm a Celebrity...Get Me Out of Here 2022

It's a new year (shortly) and as we recover from a Christmas and New Year stuffed with food and, hopefully, not too many regrets, we can relax and tune in to a new season of I'm A Celebrity...Get Me Out Of Here.

It is the second year of hosting it in Australia, rather than South Africa, due to COVID restrictions, but given the British one was always filmed here, that's not a bad thing at all.

Who is going to be on the show?

Well, Channel 10 has been dropping hints and of course, fans on social media are having their best guess at just who will be flown into the Murwillumbah "jungle" for 20 nights of deprivation, disgusting challenges and a chance to charm the public into voting for them.

Here are the clues and some of the best guesses:

The International Reality Star

Let's go with the biggest drawcard first – the international star.

Before we all get carried away, they're known for being a reality star.

While we would love Rob Kardashian to have a shot, we're not sure he fits the following clue:

"Audiences can’t get enough of him, but will this International Reality Star have enough of the Australian jungle and scream those eight famous last words?

"We can’t tell you who he is (well we can, but where is the fun in that?).

"Here is what we can tell you: He is hunky and he is wild.

"That’s a double blue tick from us!

"Now, all we need is a Jane for our Tarzan and could a jungle romance become a reality?"

"Mark my words, this is Steve O," one person said on Instagram.

"It has to be Steve-O or Chris Pontius! Maybe Chris, as he was also the 'party boy' which fits the music and lights," another said.

"Probably some guy from Geordie Shore or Love Island UK," a commenter insisted, probably more accurately.

The Famous Chef

Can you even have a season of I'm A Celeb without a chef to make sure the boiled rice is seasoned properly?

"Famous Chef (not a famous Jeff), served with a side of 'What the hell have I signed up for?'," is the clue.

"It’s no secret that a chef in camp is a valuable ingredient, but unless our culinary master enjoys campmates screaming shitake mushrooms, they better learn their way around raw kangaroo tail, because that’s as five star as this mystery box will get.

"We know you are hangry for more (not as hangry as our celebs are going to be)."

Donna Hay and Poh Ling Yeow were popular guesses for this one, but we agree with one fan's guess: "I would love to see Gordon Ramsay on it, lol,"a fan of the show wrote.

A Country Singer

Someone who can entertain their fellow constants around the fire after a tough day in the jungle will always be popular, but who will the lucky country singer be this season?

"A Country Singer is about to star in a new bush band, but will the jungle stage have them yodelling 'I'm a celebrity...get yee-haw out of here?'," the clue says.

"Don't get us wrong, being awarded prestigious Golden Guitars during one’s career is quite the achievement, but in the so-called jungle, it’s the golden stars that are really worth their weight in crocodile tail.

"The good Doctor thinks he knows who it is, check out the clue below and see if you are in tune."

While many are hoping it's Mr Nicole Kidman, Keith Urban, more realistic guesses were Kasey Chambers and Troy Cassar-Daley.

"Adam Brand loves a reality stint," a social media user said on Instagram. Could he be right?

An Olympic Swimmer

Okay, we think we have narrowed this one down to a few possibilities from these clues. What do you think?

"Diving headfirst into the adventure of a lifetime is an Olympic Swimmer and downright legend.

"The jungle may be a long way from the pool, but it still has the unique ability to send even the toughest of athletes off the deep end.

"As a triple gold medallist, this celebrity isn’t afraid of hard work, but will a triple threat of snakes, bugs and spiders cause her to sink or swim?"

Female Aussie swimmers have been successful in the Olympic pool with more than a few managing to secure three golds.

Shane Gould, Dawn Fraser, Kaylee McKeown and Stephanie Rice are amongst those possibly heading into the jungle.

While Leisel Jones also has three golds, she was in the show in 2015!

Other clues

Channel 10 are also dropping other clues as to who may be heading into the Jungle this January if you look and listen closely.

"A sports star, slash singer, slash comedian, slash tv host is heading into the Aussie jungle."

Is that one person or four?

"If it isn't Beau Ryan, this one has got me stumped," a fan of the show wrote on Instagram and most of the fans agreed.

Two cars with number plates of beauty queen and AFL star from the promotional video for 2022 I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here
The number plates of the cars give us a clue ... Photo: Network 10

In the trailer for the new season, we see two cars in line for COVID testing - one number plate says "AFL star" and another says "beauty queen".

The Daily Mail reportedly had a source tell them they saw former AFL player and coach Nathan Buckley filming a promo "wearing khaki clothes and an Akubra hat as he was escorted by an I'm a Celebrity crew member", not far from the set.

Luckily there is not long to wait and the whole family will have something to argue about over Christmas!

I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here! Premieres Monday, 3 January. Only on 10 and 10 Play on Demand.
