Hugh Sheridan engaged to boyfriend Kurt Roberts
Aussie actor Hugh Sheridan is engaged to TikTok star and model Kurt Roberts after popping the question at the Adelaide Film Festival.
The Packed To The Rafters star got down on one knee during his boyfriend's stage show Hughman on Friday, before turning to the crowd and announcing, “I just got engaged!”
Friends of the couple also took to social media to share footage of the sweet moment online, as well as share their congratulations.
"I do know very much in my heart he is a perfect partner - a good person to balance me out. I just knew he was the right one," Hugh told The Sunday Mail the morning after the proposal.
And Kurt admitted he was completely shocked.
“I literally had no idea it was coming - I thought I was getting pulled on stage to dance or something ... I was like “please, no’ Then it dawned on me.”
Hugh told the publication he chose a white diamond ring from Adelaide jeweller James Thredgold - studded with diamonds and a ruby on the inside – to propose to Kurt after also inviting his family along to Adelaide so he could ask for their permission to pop the question.

The couple have been together since around Christmas after meeting at a Sydney party in November last year, though they initially opted to keep the budding romance quiet.
It was just after the actor had opened up about his sexuality in a raw and honest essay for Stellar Magazine, after years of keeping his personal life extremely private.
At the time, Hugh explained how he has been in relationships with both men and women in the past but doesn’t like to be labeled and said he was encouraged to keep his sexuality private as if he “was anything but straight” he’d never get work.
He also explained how he had ‘protested with silence’ for the LGBTQIA+ community, but now was speaking out as he felt a “responsibility to others who may come after me”.
Being with Kurt was Hugh's first publicly gay relationship and first romance in four years. He officially confirmed his relationship in January.
"He's very kind and it's just nice," the 35-year-old said during a chat with The Daily Telegraph.
