As travel bans and lockdowns see tourist and traveller numbers drop around the country hotels have been forced to adapt policies and packages in response to the coronavirus pandemic.

Savvy hotels are offering packages tailored to those who need to self isolate when coming home from overseas or for other reasons such as needing a change of scenery working from home - with no-contact food delivery, elevated hygiene standards, and even immune-boosting snacks.

NSW Health confirms on its website that hotels and other accommodation facilities may host people in quarantine isolation, providing guidance to support such facilities and minimise the risk to staff.

“Facilities should provide education to appropriate staff, and seek assistance if there are concerns. All staff should be made aware of the symptoms of COVID-19 and know what to do if they develop any of these symptoms,” the site reads.
