Home & Away's Johnny Ruffo shares moving tribute to girlfriend
Johnny Ruffo was as loved up as ever as he celebrated his girlfriend, Tahnee Sims' 28th birthday last Wednesday.
The former Home and Away star, who is battling cancer for a second time, took to Instagram to toast Tahnee's special day by sharing a sweet couple snap.
In the pic, 33-year-old Johnny wraps an arm around the birthday girl who is holding up a plate bearing a pink cake with a single candle and the number '28' iced on the top.
"Happy Birthday to the most beautiful girl in the world," Johnny captioned the photo. "You deserve nothing but the best xx"
Tahnee was clearly feeling the love from her boyfriend of six years, calling him the "Greatest gift of all" in the comments.
Johnny's friend and former co-star, Lynne McGranger also shared her well-wishes in the comments, writing, "Happy birthday beautiful Tahnee. You are a queen darling."

And over the weekend, Johnny gave Lynne a special shoutout by uploading two photos of himself reading her new book, Acting Up: Me, Myself & Irene.
"Some light reading on this rainy day," he captioned the snaps. "@lynnemcgranger what can’t you do?"
In the memoir, 68-year-old Lynne, who plays the beloved character, Irene Roberts, on the long-running soap, opens up about her former marijuana use and the eating disorder she experienced from the ages of 15 to 28.
'Fight tooth and nail'
Back in June, Johnny appeared on Seven's Spotlight to speak about his ongoing brain cancer battle in a candid interview.
Johnny teared up when reporter Denham Hitchcock asked whether he'd ever thought about how his girlfriend Tahnee, who he's been with since 2015, would cope should he not make it.
"Not really, that's not going to happen. I'm going to fight tooth and nail, no matter what," he responded. "I'm going to do everything I can in my power. I'm not going to let her down."
Johnny revealed the devastating news that the disease had returned in November 2020, less than two years after declaring he was cancer-free.
The actor/singer, who rose to fame as a contestant on The X Factor in 2011, was first diagnosed with brain cancer back in August 2017.
Johnny has remained positive during his gruelling health journey and in May, he returned to hospital after a short break to continue treatment.
To keep fans up to date on his progress, he and Tahnee often share photos of him smiling wide while receiving chemotherapy to their respective Instagram accounts.
At the end of April, he shared a snap of himself giving the thumbs up while receiving treatment in hospital.
"Been busy fighting the good fight," he captioned the pic. "Another round down. Bring on the next."
In 2017, Johnny presented himself to hospital one night after suffering an intense migraine that doctors discovered was being caused by a brain tumour.
He underwent emergency surgery to remove the 7cm tumour which left him with a large scar along his hairline.
In 2019, he released a new song to celebrate being cancer-free, but in November the following year, the cancer was back.
"After an unexpected week of seizures and excruciating headaches it is with a heavy heart that I have to let you know I now have another huge battle ahead of me as my brain cancer has returned," Johnny wrote on Instagram at the time.
With his long-time girlfriend, Tahnee by his side he vowed to "dig deep and beat this s**t disease again".
Before his cancer battle began, Johnny played Chris Harrington on Home & Away from 2013 to 2016.
