It’s likely that Clancy will tie the knot before Lynne and Paul. While the lovebirds have been together for almost 38 years, Paul still hasn’t proposed.

In an interview with New Idea in 2014, Lynne joked that she’s ‘still waiting’ for Paul to propose.

“I invited him round to my place in 1984 [after dinner] and he never went home. Still hasn’t,” she told the publication.

“We always joke and say we’ll [get married] when we want some white goods, and I’m here to tell you now, we need a new washing machine!”

Lynne holds the record as the longest-serving female actress on a soap in Australia, after joining the show in 1993.

She previously told Woman’s Day that the support from Paul was ‘amazing’ as she juggled her career and motherhood.

“He took over as a house husband and primary carer of Clancy,” she said. “He’s amazing. We still enjoy each other’s company and still make each other laugh.”
