The Australian actress is said to be appearing on the Channel 10 series in a cameo role over a six-week filming schedule, an industry insider tells Daily Mail.
The publication also reports that she will be temporarily relocating from her home in Brisbane to Melbourne for filming, which will begin soon.
Tammin’s Aussie TV comeback comes as she took to Instagram on Wednesday to share that she was about to embark on a 17-hour road trip with her husband Sean McEwen and their two daughters Phoenix, 8, and Lennon, 2.
“So we leave on a road trip pretty soon and I’m excited and nervous,” she told her followers.
The following day Tammin posted a gallery of photos on social media alongside a lengthy caption saying goodbye to Queensland.
“Till we meet again Queensland!” she began. “Today we drive 17 hours on a road trip with kiddos (send us strength) to my next filming destination.
“To be able to do what I love to do with my kiddos by my side is every dream manifested. Follow your dreams wherever that may take you! Thank you Queensland for being so good to us.”
Tammin starred as Dani Sutherland on Home and Away from 2000 to 2004, winning the Most Popular New Female Talent Logie Award in 2001 for her portrayal.
Her character was sent to prison for attempted murder after hitting Kane Philips, played by Sam Atwell, with her car, and eventually left Summer Bay after being released.
Tammin recently shared her thoughts about a potential return to Home and Away during a Q&A on Instagram and said that fans shouldn’t get their hopes up.
“I think her time is done," she responded with a laughing emoji. “Where did she go anyway?”
Following her departure, Tammin starred in both The Young and the Restless and the final season of Hannah Montana before being cast as Jenna Marshall in Pretty Little Liars.
She recently wrapped up filming a movie titled You, Me and the Penguins in Brisbane, sharing on Instagram that she felt “so grateful” to be home shooting in Australia.
