Filmmaker Jonathan Baker Announces Doc ‘Standing On The Shoulders Of Fate’ With Donald Sutherland – AFM
EXCLUSIVE: Filmmaker Jonathan Baker has announced Standing on the Shoulders of Fate, a behind-the-scenes documentary by Adam Davis on the making of Jonathan Baker’s feature Fate, which was set to star Donald Sutherland. The iconic actor died last summer before production started.
A highlight of the film is its portrayal of Baker’s year-long collaboration with the legendary Sutherland on what was intended to be his final film role.

Highland Film Group has taken international sales for Fate.
Fate also stars Faye Dunaway, Andrew McCarthy, Brandon Routh and Mena Suvari.
The documentary is meant to provide a look at the intense creative process behind the film, which Baker crafted for under $15 million.
Baker’s next film Icon is in soft prep, eyeing a summer 2025 start with casting currently underway.
