HGTV Stars Brian and Mika Kleinschmidt Share Career News: "Honored & Humbled"

Brian and Mika Kleinschmidt are familiar faces on HGTV as the stars of 100 Day Dream Home, 100 Day Hotel Challenge, and Rock the Block. But, this year, they're taking on a very special challenge: Hosting the 2024 White House Christmas special.
Brian and Mika join First Lady Jill Biden to showcase the White House holiday decor, which follows the theme “A Season of Peace and Light.” More than 300 volunteers brought the theme to life with 165,075 holiday lights, 83 Christmas trees, 28,125 ornaments, 9,810 feet of ribbon, and 2,200 doves.
The special will give viewers a glimpse at the Gold Star Tree that honors fallen soldiers and the 18.5-foot-tall official White House Christmas Tree in the Blue Room, plus the Gingerbread White House. The HGTV stars pitch in to decorate the decorate the Diplomatic Room.
Brian shared the news on his Instagram story with the simple message: "Honored & Humbled." HGTV's post was met with a flood of support from Brian and Mika's fans and friends. Page Turner wrote, "This!! 🙌🏽 Can't wait to watch! So excited for you @mikamakesmoves @mrbreakinground!! 👏🏽👏🏽 🎄🎄" and Jenny Marrs commented, "❤️!!"
Brian and Mika follow in the footsteps of very talented HGTV hosts who have hosted the special, including Jonathan Scott, Drew Scott, Genevieve Gorder, Zooey Deschanel, Alison Victoria, and Egypt Sherrod.
The one-hour special airs on Sunday, December 15, at 6 p.m. EST/PST on HGTV. Watch White House Christmas specials from previous years on Max.
