Jennifer Lopez Reunited with Ben Affleck, Jennifer Garner for Their Kids' Play
Both Emme and Seraphina performed in the production.
Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck gave fans a look at their co-parenting strategy as they unexpectedly reunited on December 14. Amid reports that Affleck is “still adjusting to the single life” post-split, the Gone Girl actor attended a school play with both Lopez and his ex-wife Jennifer Garner on Friday night.
Per photos obtained by TMZ, the “On the Floor” singer wore a red ruffled blouse and jeans under a long white coat as she stepped out to support her 16-year-old child Emme in a school production. It ended up being a blended family affair, as Garner and Affleck’s child Seraphina, 15, also performed in the same play.
While TMZ didn’t report whether Lopez, Garner, and Affleck interacted, the trio could be seen standing together and proudly watching their kids. Garner opted for jeans and a black jacket for the outing, while the Justice League star dressed up in a black suit.
Affleck and Lopez appeared to be on cordial terms as they continue to navigate their divorce, and eyewitnesses said that the actor spoke separately to Emme after the show. Meanwhile, the Marry Me actress looked every bit the proud mom as she held a bouquet of red roses in one hand.
Affleck has his own experience co-parenting his three kids Violet, 19, Fin, 15, and Samuel, 12, with Garner, and he’s been leaning on his family during his split. After spending Thanksgiving all together at a charity event, a source told People that the exes will also be together at Christmas.
"Jen truly just wants her kids to be happy,” the insider revealed, noting that their kids pushed for the inclusion. “She will continue to make sure that they spend time together as a family and include Ben. They have Christmas plans with the kids, too. The kids enjoy when they all spend time together."
