Harry Potter Alum Matthew Lewis to Star in Acorn TV Mystery Murder Before Evensong
Acorn TV is conjuring up a new murder mystery, and a Harry Potter cast member is onboard.
Matthew Lewis will star in the new series Murder Before Evensong, based on the bestselling novel by the Reverend Richard Coles, TVLine has learned. The series, which has earned a six-episode order from Acorn TV, features Lewis as Canon Daniel Clement, who shares the rectory with his widowed mother and two dachshunds. Daniel’s plan to install a lavatory at the church leads to a bitter divide within the parish… and then a man is found stabbed to death in the back of the church.
