If we were to list all the reasons why When Harry Met Sally is a quintessential rom-com, we'd be here longer than it takes Sally Albright to order a sandwich. Suffice to say, fans have been begging for stars Meg Ryan and Billy Crystal to reunite practically since the film first came out in 1989.

Well, not only did the pair reprise their original roles, but they returned to the exact table where the movie's best-known scene was shot 35 years ago. In a truly inspired move, Hellmann's tapped Meg and Billy — along with actress Sydney Sweeney — to satisfy audiences' appetites for nostalgia in this year's Big Game commercial.

Ahead of the ad's release, Good Housekeeping spoke exclusively with Meg and Billy about what it was like working together again, how their reunion at Katz's Delicatessen compared to the first time around, and whether they'd be open to starring in another movie together.

"We're always asked, where are they now? Are they still together? And we always felt, yeah, for sure. If you believe in happily ever after, that's where they live," Billy said of the beloved characters. So when celebrating this anniversary, "they go to Katz's like they've been going there for 35 years. And that's what it felt like [for us]."

In real life, Billy and Meg prove that men and women can in fact just be friends. They both felt that reuniting for the Super Bowl spot was "as much fun" and "as fantastic" as back then, if not more so. Billy emphasized: "We appreciated what's happened to this movie in over 35 years; that people still fall in love with it all over again and new audiences come to it."

The indelible mark When Harry Met Sally left on pop culture means that over the years, the cast and crew have shared plenty of behind-the-scenes stories and fun facts from filming the movie. So even we were surprised when Billy revealed a never-before-told secret about Meg's outfit in the original Katz's Deli scene.

"I remember early that morning, Meg came to my trailer — we were just running lines — and was nervous about doing it and didn't like what she was wearing," Billy told us. "I gave her my sweater that I was supposed to wear. I remember knowing what we were going to do and how brave she had to be in front of all of these people, not knowing what was about to happen."

When Meg recalled that original day of shooting, she credited director Rob Reiner for the scene's success. "Rob was such a genius at finding the exact funny timing of Billy's line and the timing of his mom's line. 'I'll have what she's having,' — that was Rob's mom," she added.

As for Meg's own very memorable delivery, she assured us that "after you do it the first time, it's fine. You just have to figure out the level of it. Rob had all kinds of different variation sounds and there's a scale, like a subtle, bigger, bigger, bigger, the whole room hears it, nobody hears it. So it was finding and really calibrating that."

So, would Meg and Billy consider teaming up for another movie? "I would love it," Billy gushed. "Anytime we can do anything together or just be together, I always cherish. We just have this little bubble that we exist in sometimes."

"Yeah, it's great," Meg echoed. "It would be great."
