Harrison Ford Reveals Why He Doesn’t Go to Awards Show Afterparties: ‘I’m Always Very Well-Behaved’
The actor is up for best performance by a male actor in a supporting role in television at the 2025 Golden Globes Awards
Harrison Ford always keeps it cool, even when his colleagues are letting loose!
The actor, 82, spoke to Variety and Entertainment Tonight ahead of the 2025 Golden Globes about his long experience at awards shows, reaching back to his first win nearly 40 years ago. And while other stars might get rowdy at events like these, Ford said he always remains composed and collected.
"I'm always very well behaved at awards shows," the actor said, in response to Variety's Mark Malkin asking about his "wildest" moment at these events.
But Malkin didn't buy it. "Harrison Ford afterparties, they're legendary!" he teased.
"Oh, no no no," Ford replied. " I don't think I've ever been to one! I usually go straight home."
Twenty-three years ago, in 2002, Ford received the Cecil B. deMille award — bestowed upon major figures who have made great contributions to the film industry. He's the 50th recipient of the award.
Ford doesn't have a particularly vivid memory of receiving the honor, though.
"[I remember] very little. Very little, except that it was a long time ago and I was very grateful for the attention," he told Variety and ET, adding that he's since gotten used to the recognition.
