Fans of Babygirl may be fawning over his chemistry with Nicole Kidman on-screen, but in real life Harris Dickinson only has eyes for his long-time girlfriend Rose Gray.

According to a 2023 interview with Hunger Magazine, the actor has been dating the British singer-songwriter since they met in school. Though the couple mostly keep to themselves, they have collaborated on a few of Gray’s music videos and occasionally share photos of each other on Instagram.

“yes this looks like an effect but i swear on my life this is real,” the singer captioned a July 2024 video of Dickinson being hit with a well-timed sun ray. “cross my heart. baby is blessed.”

Gray has been active in the London music scene since 2019, when she released her first single, “good life.” She released her debut album, Louder, Please, on Jan. 17, 2025.

She’s from London

Like Dickinson, Gray is British. She was born on Dec. 31, 1996, in a suburb of North London, per The Face. The singer was raised in Walthamstow, an area of East London where Dickinson also grew up.

Gray told Atwood Magazine in 2019 that her parents are actors who influenced her love for music.

“I grew up listening to such eclectic music but I think it must have formed my little brain,” Gray said. “I’ve always just loved music. I also wanted to be an actress quite a lot when I was younger, even though my parents warned me about the acting career.”

She’s a singer-songwriter

Though she’s always “sort of sung,” Gray told Atwood Magazine that she started seriously considering a musical career as a teenager.

She’s released several singles and EPs since 2019 and spent two years creating Louder, Please, which includes songs that offer a candid peek into her personal life.

“Lots of parties, lots of tears, a bit of heartbreak, a bit of heart-fixing,” Gray told Vogue about the album in 2024. “I feel like there’s a few tracks on the record that sound a bit like falling back in love.”

They met in school

Dickinson and Gray told Hunger Magazine that they have been together since they were in school. He studied acting at RAW Academy in London, per The Standard, and dropped out when he was 17 to pursue his career full-time.

“I was auditioning a lot and falling behind on my studies,” Dickinson told Vogue. “I was adamant I was going to do it, even if it meant I was going to be working in a bar — which I was.”

In addition to his on-screen work, the Triangle of Sadness actor has flexed his off-screen skills for two of Gray’s music videos. Dickinson directed “Blue” in 2019 and “Afraid of Nothing” in 2023.

The singer told Hunger Magazine that the latter video — in which she stars as a runaway bride — is a unique blend of both their artistic backgrounds.

“I come from a music world, and a lot of my videos to this day have felt quite nostalgic and 90s, and some of them are quite lo-fi,” Gray said. “Harris comes from a real cinema background, and I think the combination of us both just brought about this really interesting premise. It feels like a little film.”

They share a cat

Dickinson and Gray share their London home with a gray cat named Misty Blue. Dickinson described the feline’s high-maintenance demeanor in a 2022 interview with The Guardian: “He’s a lot of work — he’s a prince, but he’s worth it.”

Even though Misty Blue has his own private Instagram account, he also regularly appears on his owners’ feeds. Gray even dressed up as him for Halloween in 2024.

“He’s my child,” she told The Face in 2022. “He’s two-and-a-half and I got him just before lockdown, so he’s glued to me.”

In their Hunger Magazine interview, Dickinson discussed the pros and cons of collaborating with his significant other. One of the perks? Gray isn’t afraid to tell him like it is.

“It’s also testing for a relationship because you’ve got to open yourself up to a different kind of dynamic,” Dickinson said. “But it definitely helps with the closeness because you can get to things quicker without that sense of carefulness and trepidation around being offensive.”

The Iron Claw star continued, “We’re so close that we can just be very direct. And I think she was the same with me, where if I had a crap idea, she’d say, ‘No, we’re not doing that.’ ”
