Halle Berry Fans Thought She Was 'Someone Else' in Unrecognizable Photo Debuting Major Hair Change

Halle Berry perplexed her fans (if only for a moment) when she shared a new, nearly-unrecognizable photo via social media.

The longtime actress took to Instagram on Wednesday, Nov. 13 with a fresh selfie, showing off her ageless appearance. But it wasn't her youthful glow at 58 that seemingly threw people for a loop—it was her drastic change in hairstyle, which had followers admitting they don't think they've "ever seen her with her hair pulled back like this."

In the solo image, Berry held her phone in her hand to snap the close-up shot in what looked to be in a mirror, covering her chin and the bottom part of her face and neck area. She placed her other hand near her face, fingers lightly touching her jawbone.

"My son would say 'tonight I was cooking' stay tuned," she captioned the post, likely alluding to the fact that she was on-set filming a new project.

The picture found the Catwoman star donning neutral makeup featuring a light smoky eye and a tan lip color, with her dark brown hair brushed neatly back and completely away from her face—a major departure in style from how she usually wears her often-short tresses.

The change was so different, in fact, that fans didn't even recognize her.

"Insanity! I had to look at the name to know who this was. I don’t think I’ve ever seen her with her hair pulled back like this," one admitted, before adding, "Face card is still official 😍😍."

"I was like .. who dis on my feed👀👀…" another agreed. "Of course it’s Halle ❤️😂."

A third echoed that sentiment, writing, "I agree with Maceo! I thought you were someone else for a split second and don't even know who else I thought you were! Because of course it's HALLE!"
