Hailee Steinfeld and Josh Allen have a capital letters kind of love. The two started seeing each other in May 2023, shortly after the Buffalo Bills quarterback split from his longterm girlfriend, Brittany Williams. While they have managed to keep their romance largely under wraps, small glimpses of their sweet relationship have Hollywood and the NFL kingdom absolutely swooning. Amid rumors that he and Williams broke up, Allen was spotted exiting a black SUV with Steinfeld in New York City. In one of the snaps published by the New York Post, the quarterback has his hand on the singer's back.

May 27, 2023: They are spotted on another date.

The rumored couple enjoyed another evening in New York, this time on what appeared to be a double date. They were captured in coordinated all-black looks with another couple.

May 29, 2023: Their relationship is confirmed.

A source close to the actress confirmed to People that Steinfeld and Allen are indeed a couple, sharing they had been "hanging out for a few weeks" and are a "cute couple."

"It's new, but they are having fun," the source continued.

May 31, 2023: They enjoy a sushi date.

The NYC date nights just kept on coming with these two. They joined another couple at Sushi By Bou in Chelsea for an omakase experience. Michael Sinensky, the restaurant's founder, commemorated their visit with a Facebook post, which sees Allen with his arm around Steinfeld.

August 3, 2023: Josh Allen publicly addresses their relationship for the first time.

Allen appeared on the Pardon My Take podcast, during which he was asked if he has seen headlines about him "making out with his girlfriend."

"The fact that anybody cares about that still blows my mind," he responded, adding that some photographers had been invasive trying to capture them together. He described it as a "gross feeling" and said it created a feeling of "insecurity" for them.

October 2, 2023: Hailee Steinfeld goes shopping with Josh Allen's mom.

Things appeared to get serious between the two four months into their relationship, as Steinfeld was spotted on a shopping date with Allen's mom, Lavonne. They visited the Leveled Up Buffalo shop in East Aurora, New York, to shop for Bills merch and even posed with the shop owner.

October 12, 2023: They attend a hockey game.

Steinfeld and Allen's next date was a sporty one. They enjoyed a Buffalo Sabres vs New York Rangers hockey game from a suite in Buffalo's KeyBank Center.

January 7, 2024: Hailee Steinfeld avoids relationship questions at the Golden Globes.

The Pitch Perfect 2 star rode solo at the 2025 Golden Globes, but that didn't stop interviewers from asking her about her man. One reporter on the red carpet asked Steinfeld how she was feeling about the night while holding up a Bills jersey. To which, Steinfeld replied "Real good," and started walking away before turning around to comment, "Wrong number, though!"

At another point in the night, she appeared to deny engagement rumors, evading relationship questions from E! News about a ring on her finger. "What is it about a sportsy man?" the interviewer asked. Steinfeld responded, "Listen, what isn't it about? Come on now."

February 21, 2024: They are in a "serious relationship."

A source close to the couple confirmed to People that the two were at a good place. "They always planned to spend more time together after his season ended. Things have been going really well," the source said. "They’re both very family-oriented and driven, and they want to protect their relationship and keep it private. They’ve been on the same page with all of that."

The insider even added that engagement was on the table. "Hailee’s in a great place and would love to settle down if it’s with the right guy," they said.

March 4, 2024: They explore Paris.

Steinfeld and Allen put the love in City of Love when they enjoyed several romantic date nights in Paris while attending Paris Fashion Week. And, it was quite an eventful trip, as Allen hilariously ripped his pants at one dinner. He was seen running out of a car with a shirt tied around his waist, and explained the situation on X the day after.

"My pants ripped at dinner 🙁🤣 Didn’t want cheeks out… I love Paris 😁," he wrote.

July 23, 2024: They go Instagram official.

The Bills superstar hard launched their romance with an adorable Instagram photo that sees them pictured from the back looking at the lit Eiffel Tower. Another snap in his slideshow sees them getting cozy at an Allen family gathering.

October 22, 2024: Hailee Steinfeld explains how they avoided a "bad omen."

Steinfeld shared in her "Beau Society" newsletter that she and her man got each other the same chef's knife for Christmas because they love to cook together.

"After we exchanged our knives lol, he told me there's an old wive's tale that if you gift your significant other a knife you have to pay for it, otherwise it signifies the severing of a relationship,” she wrote. “So we exchanged quarters so we didn't have that bad omen.”

November 22, 2024: They get engaged.

The couple announced they are headed toward marriage with a stunning photo from their engagement. The snap sees Allen on one knee as Steinfeld sweetly presses her head against his. They stand among dozens of candles and a rose-covered arch, in front of an ocean at sunset.

Just days before the Buffalo Bills were set to face off against the Kansas City Chiefs for the AFC Championship Game, Steinfeld appeared to be in bridal mode as she shared a photo of her wearing a tiny white minidress on her Beau Society newsletter Instagram page. "Just a snapshot of what’s coming tomorrow 📸," she teased, posing alongside celebrity photographer Katia Temkin.
