“The Great American Baking Show” Kicks Off First Big Game Special with Celebrity Sports Stars (Exclusive)
DK Metcalf, Amy Smart, Arik Armstead, Katie Nolan and Tony Gonzalez will all participate in the special, streaming Feb. 3 on the Roku Channel
On your marks, get set, SUPER bake!
The Great American Baking Show is launching a brand new special this February dedicated to the Big Game, with five beloved stars from the sports world tackling a trio of baking challenges cooked up by celebrity chef Paul Hollywood and restaurateur Prue Leith in the iconic white tent.
PEOPLE can exclusively announce the series, which will stream on The Roku Channel Feb. 3 — just days before Super Bowl LIX takes place at the Caesars Superdome in New Orleans.
Fittingly titled The Great American Baking Show: Celebrity Big Game, the special will feature Seattle Seahawks wide receiver DK Metcalf, Jacksonville Jaguars defensive end Arik Armstead and former professional football tight end Tony Gonzalez trading in their cleats for aprons.
They'll be joined by Emmy-winning sports media personality Katie Nolan, as well as actress Amy Smart, who starred in one of the most beloved football films of all time, 1999's Varsity Blues.

Who will emerge victorious and claim the Star Baker trophy? Only time will tell, but judging from the trailer — which PEOPLE is also premiering — it might just be an uphill battle for many.
"I’m a little intimidated right now, I’m not going to lie," Gonzalez says, even after Armstead admits to "not having ever baked" before.
Others, like Metcalf, stay focused on the prize at hand. "I hear everybody else talking, they’re not locked in, but I am," he says.

Casey Wilson and Zach Cherry will be back to co-host the fun as they guide our amateur bakers through the show's three rounds of competition: a signature bake, blind technical challenge and a showstopper surprise. And yes, both Wilson and Cherry will be using their fair share of football puns throughout the special.
"It’s time to get in there and find out who is going to bake a touchdown," Wilson says, at the top of the clip.
"Expect some big games and fierce competition," adds Cherry, later giving one baker a "6 yard penalty."

This is the second special installment of The Great American Baking Show that The Roku Channel has launched since acquiring the U.S. version of Netflix's The Great British Baking Show (known in the U.K. as The Great British Bake Off).
For three years now, the network has aired The Great American Baking Show: Celebrity Holiday, a star-studded Christmastime special. Participating stars have included Anthony Anderson, Rob Riggle, Vanessa Bayer, Loni Love, Susie Essman, D'Arcy Carden, Liza Koshy, Marshawn Lynch, Nat Faxon, Chloe Fineman, Joel Kim Booster, Arturo Castro, DeAndre Jordan, Joel McHale, Heather McMahan, Ego Nwodim and Phoebe Robinson.
In the case of that special, the holidays were something that didn't need translating for Hollywood and Leith. But the Super Bowl, it seems, required a little explaining.
"I thought Super Bowl was something to do with bowling," Leith laughed at the trailer's end.
The Roku Channel, which can be accessed for free on Roku devices, the Web, iOS and Android devices, Amazon Fire TV, Samsung TV, and Google TV and other Android TV OS devices.
