Grammy Nominee Shenseea Debuts as Global Ambassador for The Mane Choice

The Mane Choice has announced its first global brand ambassador, Grammy-nominated Jamaican artist Shenseea. The partnership aligns with the hair care brand’s commitment to self-expression, launching alongside its refreshed visual identity after being sold in 2019 to Mav Beauty Brands.

As the brand’s first ambassador, Shenseea will be featured in digital and social campaigns, encouraging consumers to experiment with their hair. The Mane Choice’s director of brand marketing, Michelle Harris, highlighted Shenseea’s alignment with the brand’s mission. “She exudes confidence and captivates attention wherever she goes,” Harris said. “Her fearless experimentation with hair and ability to connect with audiences align perfectly with our mission.”

Known for her ever-changing hairstyles and bold approach to beauty, Shenseea continues to make waves in music and fashion. Her debut solo album, “Never Gets Late Here,” recently landed a 2025 Grammy nomination for Best Reggae Album. On Sunday, The Mane Choice will be collaborating with her stylist on the Grammy Awards night’s look. “Shenseea is entering a new music era with the hair persona to match, and we are excited to be collaborating with Shenseea’s hairstylist Venner James for the upcoming Grammy Awards,” Harris said. “Several key products from The Mane Choice will be used by her stylist to create what will undoubtedly be Shenseea’s stunning red carpet look.”

“For me, hair has always been a form of expression,” Shenseea said. “I have to choose the perfect hairstyle to complement the music era I’m in. My hair is one of my most important features. The Mane Choice is all about embracing individuality and celebrating natural, fearless self-expression.”

The announcement also introduces The Mane Choice’s updated packaging, featuring a refined metallic aesthetic, a streamlined design and a continued emphasis on purple as a core brand element. The Mane Choice products are available at themanechoice.com and retailers including Sally Beauty, Walmart, CVS, Walgreens and Amazon.

The new ambassador is among several strategies the brand has tapped to reach new audiences, including social media communities and activations. “We’re always looking at how to engage our consumer both online and offline. While brick-and-mortar will always play a priority role within our business, having a significant omnichannel presence is important, and our goal is to grow our online community through our DTC website and Amazon,” Harris added. “Offline, we are meeting our consumers within their community. We also try to support small community organizations in need of hair education or hair care supplies.”
