‘GMA’s Ginger Zee and Sam Champion Look Like They’re ‘Trying to Kill Each Other’ While Trying Tricky ‘DWTS’ Move

Ginger Zee and Sam Champion are trying out their dancing skills by attempting to recreate a Dancing With the Stars move, but it seems the physical feat didn't exactly go as planned.

From the looks of the video, the Good Morning America stars—who both previously competed on the dance show—were in a bit over their heads, underestimating the complexity of nailing the trick on the first attempt, but that surely didn't stop them from trying!

In a clip from the broadcast, which was uploaded via Instagram on Friday, Oct. 25 to Zee's account, Champion counted them in as he held one foot of the ABC chief meteorologist, who was lying on the floor on her back, shoeless.

As the weatherman began raising her foot into the air while the mom-of-two aimed to lift herself into an arched back bend, they both somewhat lost their balance mid-move, with Champion struggling to hold her weight and Zee failing to successfully complete the leg and body lift.

"We are trying to do that @dancingwiththestars @witneycarson move … so far not quite 😂😂😂 @samchampion give us a week… 😝 @samwnek @lanzkatz #dwts #operationarcher," the snippet was captioned, revealing that the dance move was initially inspired by one of the show's pros, Witney Carson, and her partner, Danny Amendola.

"That leg move was very unique and special to Danny and I, and we just, we had no idea," Carson told GMA after the difficult dance gained massive popularity, receiving over 11 million TikTok views. "I didn't know what viral was. I thought my algorithm was freaking out," Amendola added of the pair's shock regarding the public response.

In the comment section of the Instagram video, fans and friends went wild over the entertaining social media content.

"@samchampion and @ginger_zee my two favorites trying to kill each other," one of the pair's GMA colleagues, Tom Kelly, quipped.

"You guys made me spit my coffee laughing 😂," one viewer admitted, while ABC News correspondent Rebecca Jarvis suggested, "3rd times a charm! Monday 😉❤️."

"😂😂😂😂 I needed that this morning!" another admitted, as someone else joked, "She is beauty. She is grace. 😂😂😂."
