Gabby Windey Jokes Moving In with Girlfriend Has Meant Navigating ‘Being on Our Periods Together’ (Exclusive)
The former 'Bachelorette' star tells PEOPLE that living with girlfriend Robby Hoffman comes with "a high level of intimacy that I just love"
Former Bachelorette star Gabby Windey surprised fans — and herself! — in August 2023 when she revealed she started dating a woman.
Just over one year later, Windey, 33, and her girlfriend Robby Hoffman have taken the next step in their relationship by moving in together.
“It's been really great because now it's a deeper level of knowing someone, which I think is the real gift,” Windey, who recently partnered with Flamin’ Hot to encourage Flamin’ Hot Cheetos fans to try one of the brand’s 25+ other spicy “sidechips,” tells PEOPLE. “I was so nervous not to have alone time, but my home is with her.”
The reality star, who starred alongside co-Bachelorette Rachel Recchia on season 19 of the dating show, says that the biggest challenge for her and Hoffman, 34, being under the same roof has been “ebbing and flowing through our moods.”
“Sometimes Robby isn't as talkative, so I'll be like, ‘What is going on here? Did you hit your head? Are you feeling okay?’” Windey explains. “But you just kind of ebb and flow through different periods of wanting to talk and wanting to not talk. And there's two girls here, we have periods, so being on our periods together is very hormonal!”
Windey and Hoffman love lounging around with their favorite snacks: Flamin’ Hot Doritos for Windey, and Flamin' Hot Funyuns for Hoffman. “We have kind of different palates, but we love to just relax and be disgusting on the couch, which Flamin' Hot is perfect for,” the Long Winded podcast host says.

Windey has teamed up with Flamin' Hot for back-to-school season to give spicy lovers a hall pass to cheat on the signature Flamin’ Hot Cheetos with one of the brand’s other snacks. To make that happen, Flamin’ Hot will give away “Burner Phones” that come with a direct connect to Chester Cheetah, who will ensure a selection of Flamin’ Hot sidechips get delivered straight to the winners’ doors. (Interested snackers have until Nov. 8 to enter via Windey’s Instagram or FlaminHotUniversity.com.)
Whether podcaster and her partner could be having a lazy day or a date night on the town, “we just love each other no matter what,” Windey says. “Seeing each other at every state, all done up and disgusting, no-brushed teeth, it doesn't matter. We love to just cuddle and be in each other's arms.”

Windey and Hoffman make time for each other each morning by playing The New York Times’ Crossword, World and Connections. “It's a time for us to just be wrapped up in each other and bond,” the Bachelor alum says.
They turn everyday tasks into fun moments together, too.
“We went grocery shopping yesterday together, and Robby slipped a flower in the cart,” Windey recalls, who has her own ways of showing she cares. “I try and really clean up around the house so when she comes home from a gig or a comedy show, everything is really pristine and neat for her. When you move in together, it means a lot.”

Ultimately, Windey just enjoys being in Hoffman’s presence more since they’ve come together under the same roof.
“Being together in the same room, doing your other stuff, it's like you're not alone, but you're quiet with each other,” Windey says. “It's a high level of intimacy that I just love. We're really good at just appreciating each other.”
