A Friend of Queen Camilla's Is Once Again Dishing Her Private Thoughts on King Charles
King Charles is pausing his cancer treatment for 11 days and heading to Australia on royal tour, a pretty major trip considering his health, and one that's caused Queen Camilla some concern. But apparently Her Majesty is feeling relieved that Charles had decided to skip the annual COP conference in Baku, Azerbaijan, which takes place shortly after his return from Australia.
A friend of Queen Camilla's tells The Daily Beast that she "will be pleased he is not going straight off to Azerbaijan. She didn’t particularly want him to go to Australia, and she will be encouraging him to take it easy once he gets back—never an easy task.”
This comes amid another source close to the Queen telling the outlet that "She wants him to slow down, she is afraid he is working too hard, and that’s before you even get to the Australia tour.”
Plus, yet another insider added that “I think there has been a lot of positive spin about the king doing well, getting back to work and so on. But, you know, he has cancer. He is not well [...] Camilla has been telling him to take a break but he is a workaholic, he won’t listen.”
King Charles was diagnosed with cancer in February of this year, and has been undergoing treatment since. The Daily Mail reports that doctors are on board with the 11-day pause in treatment while he's in Australia, with the outlet writing "The Mail understands that His Majesty will continue with his ongoing cancer treatment right up until he flies, but that his doctors are happy for it to be briefly stopped while he is away. The King will then pick up with his treatment cycle as soon as he returns to the U.K."
