In case you didn’t know, Peyton and Cameron were on-screen siblings on the Disney Channel hit show Jessie from 2011 to 2015, and the bond the stars shared was clear.

"He was one of my best friends, and he was like a brother to me growing up,” said Peyton, who is 26.

“Every time something big happens, I want to call him,” Peyton said as she suddenly became teary before pausing.

She smiled through her tears, saying, “I didn’t expect to cry — because I talk about him so much that I don’t expect to cry anymore.”

Peyton also spoke about Cameron’s family and the Cameron Boyce Foundation, as well as her efforts to support the cause year after year. “They’ve really just done a lot of work to keep the foundation alive and keep his memory alive,” she said.

Established in 2019 by Cameron’s parents, Victor and Libby Boyce, and his sister, Maya, the foundation “honors the legacy of Cameron Boyce by aiming to cure epilepsy through funding research, education, and awareness campaigns while still supporting causes that were important to Cameron.” The foundation holds annual fundraisers and galas to continue the impact of his family’s and supporters’ efforts.
