Former Home and Away star Sam Frost's confession: 'My anxiety was peaking'

Former Bachelorette and Home and Away star Sam Frost shared a new personal achievement with fans, five months after giving birth to her son Ted.

The mum-of-one, who is known for speaking openly about her mental health, took to her Instagram stories to share that her anxiety was peaking before and during going back to training since having her baby.

"First day back training since having my little boy. My anxiety was peaking beforehand and during. But I did it and I'm really proud of myself," Sam captioned the selfie of her post-workout.

Sam Frost revealed last year that she quit Home and Away to focus on her mental health, after five years of playing Jasmine Delaney.

In an Instagram post for her mental health awareness page, Believe by Sam Frost, Sam opened up about her decision.

"I quit my dream job at Home and Away to look after my mental health. I needed to take a step back, go home and be with my family," she shared.

"I spent 4.5 years being a distant friend, a distant girlfriend, a sister who couldn’t be there for big milestone moments. Now, I’m making up for lost time. I’m prioritising my health and my relationships. Sometimes I wake up and panic about money, work and being able to afford my mortgage.. but then I remind myself the importance of putting our mental health first, and taking time out to heal our mind, body & soul."

Sam announced in July 2022 that she and her then-boyfriend Jordie Hansen were engaged after six months of dating.

The two announced Frost's pregnancy in September.

Sam previously opened up about finding pregnancy "difficult".

"I found pregnancy really difficult and I thought that would be perhaps a reflection on what is going to happen coming up, but to be honest I am actually a little more relaxed than I thought," she told Sydney Confidential.
