Fashion designer's Aldi baking disaster goes viral: 'Don't give up your real day job'
It's like the blue dress vs white dress saga all over again...cookies or chicken?
Fashion designer Natalie Mills is known for her impeccable taste in statement headbands and luxe-for-less accessories, but it appears her talents hit a snag in the kitchen. Recently Mills decided to dip her toes into the wild world of baking, an experience that resulted in a baking blunder of epic proportions. Spoiler alert: it didn't exactly go as planned. Sharing her cookie-making misadventures with the world, the aftermath has left social media in stitches.
Armed with an ALDI box mix and a dream, Mills confidently whipped up a batch of sugar cookies with her daughters. Little did she know, a culinary catastrophe was about to unfold.
A sweet disaster
Dubbing herself an "amazing baker" (bless her heart), Mills proudly shared her baking escapades on social media; a batch of cookies, made from a packet mix, that bore a striking resemblance to...*checks notes*...er....raw chicken breasts?

Yep, you heard that right. Chicken. Breasts.
"I don't share often," she quipped in the ALDI Aisle of Shame Community Group, and let's just say, jaws dropped faster than a hen laying eggs.
Now, we know what you're thinking: how could anyone mistake cookies for chicken? Well, friends, it happened.
"OMG I see raw chicken," one person commented, followed by a seemingly never-ending ream of agreement. And honestly, you can't blame them. Those cookies were giving off some serious clucking poultry vibes.
When baking goes fowl
Despite Mills' best efforts, her sugar cookies seemed to take on a life of their own in the baking dish. Instead of the expected round, golden treats depicted on the box, the cookies emerged resembling flattened, uncooked chicken breasts, prompting a chorus of laughter and confusion from her audience. It was a baking mishap that left even the most seasoned home cooks scratching their heads and reaching for a second look.
"My heart burst with pride," she continued facetiously, recounting her daughters' hesitation to sample the questionable treats.
But did Natalie let the cookie mishap get her down? Absolutely not. Instead, she leaned into the hilarity of it all, declaring herself a true artiste.
It's an art form
"Baking is a form of art not everyone understands," she jokingly declared, and honestly, who are we to argue?
As the comments rolled in, it became clear that Mills' cookies had achieved legendary status.
"We didn't even eat them yet, we're saving these for a special occasion," she teased, sparking laughter from her followers. And with plans to enter her creation into "IS IT CAKE," Mills hinted that her cookies might just outwit the judges.

"Do not by any means give up your real day job!" one follower urged, while another offered words of wisdom: "Practice does eventually make perfect."
And as for the taste? Well, let's just say we bet Mills' cookies were...um...unique. For her next culinary adventure, maybe she should leave it to the experts. After all, designing may be in her blood, but baking...well, that's a whole other recipe.
