Farmer Wants A Wife's Brenton has spoken out about his messy split with Sophie
EXCLUSIVE: Farmer Brenton has finally broken his silence on his breakup with winner, Sophie.
The breakup between Farmer Wants A Wife's Brenton Kuch and Sophie Holcombe rocked reality TV fans, and now Farmer Brenton has shared his side of the story.
The reality couple, who found love on the 2023 season of Farmer Wants A Wife, broke up earlier this month and things got a little messy after Sophie released a public statement about their breakup, with Brenton seemingly responding to it by posting a pointed Instagram story with his face Photoshopped on a man dodging bullets.
Sophie spoke to Yahoo Lifestyle earlier this week, saying she believed Brenton's Instagram story was about her and also said she was 'heartbroken' by the outcome of their relationship demise.
Now, Brenton has said that the split had been 'civil' up until a few weeks ago.
Farmer Brenton breaks his silence
Speaking to Yahoo Lifestyle, Brenton said:
"Neither of us wanted the breakup but we got to a point where we needed time apart after the experience we had just come through! It seemed to be very civil until a few weeks ago."
Brenton went on to say the two agreed to keep the breakup private and 'let it play out' but Sophie later went on to block him on social media.
"A few weeks ago Sophie messaged me saying she wanted to announce the spilt which I thought was a bit weird considering we decided not to, but I was fine with that.
We still seemed to be OK then she blocked me off social media. Then goss (rumours) started flying around the community about someone new on the scene," he said.

"I know there’s going to be a time when hopefully we both move on but If the rumours are true I felt it was a little disrespectful to happen as soon as it did," he finished.
Sophie's breakup statement
When Sophie spoke to Yahoo Lifestyle earlier this week, she stressed that the breakup was mutual and had nothing to do with her wanting to travel or go overseas, as previous rumours had stated.
"Brenton and I mutually parted, but are no longer in regular communication. I wish him all the best for a happy future," she said.

"I settled in quickly to life in Darriman. I found work, joined the local netball club and loved helping out on the farm," she said.
"I truly loved Brenton and was heartbroken by the outcome. I went through a lot and I am sad this is how it has ended."
