The Fantastic Four: First Steps Trailer: Pedro Pascal and Vanessa Kirby Lead Marvel’s First Family

Pedro Pascal (The Last of Us), Vanessa Kirby (The Crown), Joseph Quinn (Stranger Things) and Ebon Moss-Bachrach (The Bear) look damn super as Marvel’s First Family in a first trailer for The Fantastic Four: First Steps.

And you have to chuckle that The Bear co-star Moss-Bachrach’s Ben Grimm/The Thing is first seen assessing someone’s cooking, suggesting more garlic to give it “zip.”

Due in theaters July 25 and set against in a vibrant, 1960s-inspired, retro-futuristic world, the Marvel Studios film introduces to the MCU Reed Richards/Mister Fantastic (played by Pascal), Sue Storm/Invisible Woman (Kirby), Johnny Storm/Human Torch (Quinn) and Ben Grimm/The Thing as they are about to face “their most daunting challenge yet.”

“Forced to balance their roles as heroes with the strength of their family bond, they must defend Earth from a ravenous space god called Galactus (Ralph Ineson) and his enigmatic Herald, Silver Surfer (Ozark‘s Julia Garner),” the official synopsis tells us. “And if Galactus’ plan to devour the entire planet and everyone on it weren’t bad enough, it suddenly gets very personal.”

The cast also includes John Malkovich, Paul Walter Hauser (Cobra Kai), Natasha Lyonne (Poker Face) and Sarah Niles (Ted Lasso).

Matt Shakman (WandaVision) directed First Steps, which was produced by Marvel Studios chief Kevin Feige and executive-produced by Louis D’Esposito, Grant Curtis and Tim Lewis.
