Fans Think Lala Kent Copied Ariana Madix’s Past Look for Her Baby Shower: See the Tutu Dress Causing the Drama

'Vanderpump Rules' viewers recalled Kent dissing Madix's dress on season 9

Lala Kent is giving fans Vanderpump Rules flashbacks.

The Give Them Lala podcaster, 33, celebrated her baby shower with VPR stars Scheana Shay, Stassie Schroeder and Ally Lewber, as well as The Valley’s Michelle Saniei and Janet Caperna.

Her costar Ariana Madix wasn’t in attendance (the two walked away from the season 11 reunion on a rocky note) and her absence was made that much more apparent after fans noticed that Kent dressed up in the same dress Madix wore three years ago.

Stephanie Tleiji on TikTok posted a side-by-side photo of Kent and Madix in Selkie's Puff Dress, which features puffy sleeves and a billowing tutu skirt.

The Love Island host, 39, wore the Head in the Clouds version in 2021 to a tea party celebrating ex-friend Rachel Leviss’ then-engagement to James Kennedy. Kent wore the Morphe, a pastel version that she styled with the sleeves off the shoulder. Both are currently available to shop for $295 on Selkie’s website.

Some believed that the outfit was a hypocritical dig on Kent's part.

In the comment section of Tleiji's video, one fan pointed out that Kent had some thoughts on the look when Madix wore it in season 9. “Do I look like a bitch that has puffy sleeves and a f---king tutu in my closet,” Kent said at the time.

However, others defended Kent by noting that someone’s personal style can change over time.

There was nothing — not even a little dress discourse — that could’ve burst Kent’s bubble though.

Photos shared to Kent’s Instagram on July 14 showed the reality television star beaming as she celebrated her second child in style.

“It’s usually a Baby Sprinkle for your second. But I never had a Baby Shower. So a Baby Monsoon seemed to be the only option & it was perfect,” she wrote.

Back in April, Kent — who is already mom to 3-year-old daughter Ocean Kent Emmett — spoke to PEOPLE about her pregnancy and how she is enjoying the experience more this time around.

"It's a lot different from my first pregnancy because then, I was kind of hunkered down. People asked me if I had morning sickness with Ocean and I just laid around all day and ate, so I don't really remember," Kent explained.

"So this time, I'm out and having to work, but luckily my energy has been very high. When I'm ready to go, I'm ready, but once I'm tuckered out, I'm tuckered out. And I have a toddler to chase after as well, so that adds an element of difference from the first time."
