With the Olympics in full swing, excitement is at an all-time high as the world's best athletes compete in Paris to make their countries proud. From Ariarne Titmus winning the first gold medal in the games to the Matilda's stunning victory against Zambia, we Aussies have been glued to the screen and cheering our Olympians on.

However, in a hilarious twist, a TikTok creator by the name of Kiki or @kiandratrickett has been glued to her screen for a very different reason. Kiki, who has 96k followers on the social media platform recently posted a video pointing out a very awkward error from Nine - the official broadcaster of the 2024 Olympic Games.

"Did I just miss an Olympic ring rebrand?" Kiki asks as she starts her video.

Pulling up the Olympic logo which was in use between 1986 and 2010, Kiki noted that the logo of today is slightly different and the rings are a bit thinner but they still "interlap" (interlock).

Switching to the home screen of 9Now, the TikToker then asks "What is this?" as she zooms in on an Olympics logo that has some very noticeable differences - especially as the rings are so much thinner than the official logo and are layered rather than being interlocked.

"I think your designer has just created five circles that aren't the logo," she laughs. "I've been looking at that for the past two days asking 'what is wrong with this?' and now I've actually seen it up close....yeah."

The video has since been viewed more than 180k times and the comments that have flooded the post are equally hilarious.

"Looks like the intern did it," one person quipped.

"I think they stole this from my year 5 project on the 2008 Olympics... I made that on paint," another laughed.

"Omg I swear something looked off about it," another agreed.

"It’s definitely giving Canva 😩😩," someone else wrote.

There were also plenty of Ozempic jokes as people laughed at how thin the rings are on the Nine site, compared to the official ones.

"Even the rings are on Ozempic,"

"Ozempic games 😭."

"Those the Ozempic Olympic rings 😂," and so on.

"They don’t “interlock” at all, you can see that each circle is just laid over the other one going from right to left," someone else noted - pointing out another flaw in the design.

"The yellow ring should also be behind the black ring and the green in front of the black… yikes 🤦🏻‍♀️," added another viewer.

"Olympics feeling the cost of living crisis too 😂 gotta tighten the belt," was another joke made by one of Kiki's followers.

Relatable!
