Sam Smith 'Deeply Saddened' After Cancelling Remaining Tour Dates

Sam Smith serenaded his Australian fans in Brisbane and Sydney this week, but the 22-year-old singer won't be completing the rest of his tour Down Under.

Sharing a message to his Instagram fans on Tuesday afternoon, Sam apologised for letting his fans down.

The "vocally exhausted" singer said he was "deeply saddened" to cancel the tour due to doctor's orders. He added that he'd suffered from a "vocal haemorrhage" and is required to rest in order to prevent it from becoming a long-term issue.

Tour promoter Frontier has announced the tour will be rescheduled for December.
