John Lawlor with the 'Facts of Life' castJohn Lawlor, the actor who starred on The Facts of Life as the headmaster of Eastland Academy, has died at age 83 — and his former costars paid tribute to his memory amid the news.
While an obituary announced earlier this month that Lawlor died at the Albuquerque veterans hospice on Feb. 13, news of the actor's death didn't spread until earlier this week, with Facts of Life actresses Mindy Cohn and Lisa Whelchel honoring their fellow actor Tuesday in emotional social media posts.
"Rest in peace John, forever my brilliant Mr. Bradley," Cohn, who portrayed Natalie on the show, wrote alongside sharing a cast photo of the season 1 stars, as Lawlor only appeared on the sitcom's first season before the character was written out of the 1979 program that followed the lives of students and staff at an all-girls boarding school.
