The Bachelor 2021: Everything to know about Jimmy Nicholson
Despite a difficult 18 months with Covid, the nation hasn't given up on love as a new set of Aussie ladies are getting ready to win the heart of this year's Bachelor - 31-year-old pilot Jimmy Nicholson.
And there is a lot to like about the Sydney-sider along with his smouldering tall, dark and handsome looks.
He is intelligent, a self-confessed hopeless romantic and is ready to find his fairytale ending with a little help from Osher Günsberg and the team at the Bachie mansion.
For anyone old enough to remember An Officer and A Gentleman the strains of its title song Up Where We Belong are used to full effect in the promo of the show.
I mean who wouldn't want to be carried off into the sunset by a dashing airline pilot?
And if that doesn't have you kicking yourself for not applying to be one of the girls battling out for Jimmy's affections, his Instagram surely will.
His account offers a lot of insight into the type of guy he is, which, besides the obvious love of travel and time with friends, that you'd expect from a pilot, Jimmy seems to be a true family man with a love of children and animals (though dogs do seem to be his favourite).

With a degree in Business Administration, Business Law and Marketing, this Northern Beaches local has also combined his passions with giving back to his community, working as a volunteer coordinator and Australian emergency contact for Fronteering Travel Services - an organisation that coordinated volunteering experiences abroad.
“I am a big believer in embracing any opportunity that presents itself, especially if it has the potential to change your life for the better," Jimmy says after going through the pandemic made him reassess his life.
Like many, he has realised that while a career is important, love is even more so. He may be methodical about using manuals at work but realises when it comes to love, there is no manual.
"I have a really close family. My parents are madly in love and that's exactly what I want," he says on another promo for the show. "I want someone that I'd be proud to bring home to meet my family. Their opinion means everything to me."
It was his father Noel who introduced him to flying. The Palm Beach real estate agent used to be a Qantas aircraft engineer and then cabin manager who got his pilot's licence in his early 30s. It was also Noel who encouraged Jimmy to try out modelling - another part-time career Jimmy has dabbled in.
"One of my clients saw him and said he had to contact her friend at the modelling agency Chadwicks," Noel proudly reveals.
But now Jimmy's only focus is love.
"The journey ahead will be one of the most challenging experiences that I have ever undertaken, however, I am very excited to meet someone that I could potentially spend the rest of my life with."
Even his ex and 2020 Bachelorette Bella Varelis think he's the perfect Bachelor. "He’s a really lovely human, definitely deserves to find love!" Bella says, who dated Jimmy briefly before going Insta official with new beau, photographer Will Stokoe.
Just who will win this high-flyer's heart?
