Everything to Know About the Cast of 'Temptation Island' Season 9

There's nothing quite like a constant stream of attractive singles to test the boundaries of your relationship. And while you may be able to ignore eligible bachelors and bachelorettes in real life, it's a little more difficult during the social experiment designed to test you that is Temptation Island. Surrounded by contestants whose sole purpose is to tempt you away from your partner, the objective of the reality show is strikingly simple and yet frequently proves hard: don't cheat.

With four new couples stepping up to the challenge this spring and dozens of tempters lined up ready to put them to the test, it's arguably only a matter of time before someone strays. Ahead, meet the four couples starring in season nine of Temptation Island, which premieres on March 12 on Netflix.

Alexa and Lino

Alexa and Lino are joining the cast of Temptation Island in the midst of a three-year relationship, and hope to leave feeling "100% confident" in their connection before walking down the aisle. Both are 28 years old and work in nursing and personal training, respectively. “When you're deeply in love, it’s easy to become codependent, and I believe this experience will help me assess whether I truly need Lino in my life or if it's simply that I deeply want him to be in my life forever,” Alexa told Netflix.

Despite being in love, the pair admit that their relationship got off to a rocky start, and both worry about the "high-pressure environment" of Temptation Island. Still, Lino is pretty much all in, at least for the time being: “If I can reassure her and share a treat, I’ve definitely made her day,” he said.

Ashley and Grant

Ashley and Grant's on-again, off-again relationship history includes a bout of cheating on the part of Grant, making them perfect candidates for the social experiment that is Temptation Island. As for Ashley, however, she's loyal: “I am not easily tempted. When I am committed, I’m all in."

Despite their past, both 28-year-olds want their relationship to work, and they're willing to put it to the test if that's what it takes to prove their love. “I have given into temptation in the past, but going into this experience, I feel ready to hold up to the temptation,” Grant said.

Shanté and Brion

Much like Ashley and Grant, Shanté and Brion dealt with infidelity early on in their partnership. Since then, they've struggled to trust one another though they are both eager to settle down.
“I want to learn how to be more patient in conversation and listen more,” Brion, who is 26, told Netflix.

Taylor and Tyler

Taylor, 30, and Tyler, 27, had a whirlwind romance after Tyler ended his marriage of six years. Since then, however, Taylor says "he's already been tempted outside of the relationship," making Tyler something of a wild card on Temptation Island. Taylor, meanwhile, has been loyal from day one: "She’s older, dated around, and ready for something real," he said. "I've never doubted that when she's with me, she's fully in it."

While Tyler wants to "work on understanding [himself] better," Taylor simply wants to know that she's not second best: “I want my partner to use this experience as a way to find himself and from that place of self-discovery, confidently choose me as his partner,” she said.

The Tempters

As you might expect, there's a laundry list of men and women who will soon arrive on Temptation Island to, well, tempt the contestants out of their coupledom. Here's a full list of the tempters:
