'90s Bombshell Model Is Unrecognizable More Than 30 Years After 'Sandlot'
A popular model and screen star of the 1990s was spotted in Los Angeles, Calif. in a rare public appearance, with the 50-year-old looking almost unrecognizable in a laidback, casual outfit.
Marley Shelton, who played the memorable lifeguard Wendy Peffercorn in the 1993 cult classic The Sandlot, rocked some stylish flare jeans, a chic white top and relaxed white sneakers.
Shelton wore her hair parted in the middle in natural waves, while she accessorized with layered necklaces and earrings. The starlet was reportedly running errands, stopping by a dry cleaner during a sunny day in California.

While The Sandlot was one of her first roles and a major success, Shelton continued acting, with parts in films like Pleasantville, Never Been Kissed, Bubble Boy, and Uptown Girls in the next decade.
Other big projects Shelton acted in over the years include Sin City, Grindhouse, Scream 4—with Shelton reprising her character in 2022's Scream—The Lottery and Dirty John. Most recently, she joined the Yellowstone TV universe, playing Emma Dutton in 1923, with appearances in two other popular new shows, Tracker and Matlock.
In a 2022 interview with Decider, Shelton and her 1923 co-star James Badge Dale, who portrayed the great-grandparents of Kevin Costner's character from the original Yellowstone series, talked about working on the exciting project.
Dale praised Shelton, saying about acting with her, "Every time I do a scene with Marley, you look at Marley, and she’s just so electric and vibrating."
Shelton talked about what went into forming their characters, saying, "We just brought all this energy and mystery to our characters’ now." Neither Shelton nor Dale are involved in 1923 Season 2.
