Jennifer Lopez and Her Lookalike Teen Emme Wore Matching Looks During Rare Appearance

Jennifer Lopez and her lookalike child Emme Muñiz just stepped out for a rare public appearance. The pair attended the opening night of Othello on Broadway—and, naturally, they chose chic co-ordinating black looks for the occasion.

Lopez wore a slinky maxi black co-ord with a crop top and maxiskirt with sparkly beaded detailing around the hips, neck, and chest. She paired the glamorous look with a black coat, a slicked-back low bun, a black clutch, and a pair of blingy statement earrings. As for Emme, the teen opted for a menswear-inspired look, wearing a pinstripe black suit with a gray shirt, a black checked tie, and chunky black shoes.

Lopez shared an Instagram Story from the car on the way to the premiere. "I have the most amazing date for the black tie premiere of Othello here in New York tonight," as she turned the camera to show a smiling, waving Emme next to her in the car. "Super excited. Here we go." Lopez also shared a carousel from the evening, writing, "Othello premiere with the best date ever ✨."

Lopez shares twins, Emme and Max, with her ex-husband Marc Anthony, who she was married to from 2004 until 2014. Last month, Lopez celebrated her twins' 17th birthdays with an adorable Instagram video compilation. She also shared a sweet tribute to her children last July with an Instagram carousel captioned, "My whole heart 💚🤍.”

Although Emme rarely makes public appearances, the teen did join Lopez for the Wicked premiere last November. "We loooved it," Lopez later wrote on Instagram.

Lopez recently opened up about the struggles and joys of motherhood in an interview with British Vogue, calling it “the hardest job that anyone could ever have.” Speaking about playing the role of Judy Robles in Unstoppable, a film about a man born with one leg who went on to become a wrestler. “I understood it. I mean, as a mom, you always want to put your best foot forward for your kids. You want to lift them up," she said. "That doesn’t stop you from being a human being who struggles."

Lopez and Ben Affleck settled their divorce earlier this year. Lopez allegedly expressed a wish to keep in touch with Affleck's children, while other reports noted that Affleck hadn't seen Emme and Max. Another source, however, told Page Six, “They have every intention of continuing to be in each other’s lives despite not being romantically involved. Ben and Jennifer are still connected and they do communicate when it involves their kids.”

Lopez spent the winter holidays enjoying some downtime at a ski chalet in Aspen with Emme, her sister, Lynda, and her niece, Lucie.
