With Everyone's Brains Rotting Away, I Want To Know Your Tips On How To Regain Your Attention Span And Better Retain Information
Recently, this post went super viral on Twitter, and users had a lot to say in response:
i miss having a sharper brain. idk how to fix it. my attention span sucks, it’s hard for me to read books, my memory is horrible and it’s hard to retain information, i miss reading but i literally can’t read. I feel so stupid? what do i do

Mostly, people pointed out that it's The Phone. If you can't get off it, maybe there's a problem!
I really hate to say this but it’s the phone 😭 it’s the damn phone

Others had medical advice...
check your oxygen levels. Not kidding. Check if you have a deviated septum, check if you are prone to sleep apnea, check your lung capacity. Basically, check your engine before putting things in it

Still others criticized social media and our inability to be happy "being bored."
more people need to accept boredom and the act of being bored because the moment you’re sick of it you get the energy to do anything. what I’m typing this on, and you’re probably reading on, is designed to constantly have your attention and control https://t.co/ZHa53x6Dkz

So, readers, I want to know: in the digital age, what's your take on getting rid of brain rot and reclaiming your attention span?
Maybe you've recently delved into a new (real-life) hobby, like knitting, woodworking, or photography. Tell me about it!
Perhaps you've felt yourself actively losing your attention span — for instance, maybe you noticed difficulty reading more than a paragraph at a time, or you found yourself becoming "reliant" on AI for school or work. (If this is you, seek help.) If you've felt that way and have found a way to combat it, share down below!
Perhaps you made a concerted effort to get off your phone and pick up a book... and discovered (or rediscovered) a love of voracious reading. I want to hear all about it. 🙂
Or maybe you have something else you want to share. Whatever it is, I want to hear about it! Feel free to share down in the comments below. Or, if you prefer, you can write in via an anonymous Google form. Who knows — your answer may be included in an upcoming BuzzFeed article!
