Emily Maynard Johnson Clarifies Daughter Ricki Is 'Alive and Well' After Posting She Loves Her 'All the Way to Heaven'

Maynard Johnson shared a photo of her daughter and wrote how much she missed her, causing some to think she wasn't alive

Emily Maynard Johnson is clarifying that her daughter is indeed doing well, despite sharing a photo earlier in the day that caused some to think otherwise.

On Tuesday, Oct. 8, the former Bachelorette, 38, shared a photo of herself and her 19-year-old daughter Ricki on her Instagram Stories, smiling together. "Missing my girl so much it hurts my heart in a physical way," Maynard Johnson wrote over the image.

"I love you all the way to heaven, Kiki," the mom of six said, tagging her daughter.

The photo must've caused some alarm from Maynard Johnson's followers because she later shared a statement on her Instagram Stories. "Ricki is alive and well at college. Sorry for any confusion!"

She then posted a series of direct messages on Instagram with her daughter Ricki, who was outraged at her mom's post. "WHAT?!!?? PEOPLE THOUGHT I WAS DEAD BC U NEVER POST ABOUT ME," Ricki wrote.

"No because I said I miss you," Maynard Johnson replied. "And you never post me," Ricki responded.

The reality TV star wrote that she never posts her daughter because Ricki doesn't like it when she does, which prompted the teenager to say, "They wouldn't know I'm at school bc u never posted that u dropped me off 😞 #forgottenchild."

"Guys get ready bc from this day forward it is alll Ricki. Alll day," Maynard Johnson jokingly wrote across the screenshot.

Maynard Johnson shares her daughter Ricki with late fiancé Ricky Hendrick. She is also mom to kids Ricki, Jennings, 8½, Gibson, 6, Gatlin, 7, Nola Belle, 3 and Jones, 22 months, whom she shares with husband Tyler Johnson.

In June, Maynard Johnson shared a pair of photos on Instagram as she celebrated Ricki's 19th birthday. The proud mom began her Instagram post with a snapshot of herself and Ricki walking into a venue together. The mom of six could be seen with an arm around her daughter’s shoulder while her daughter wrapped an arm around her mom’s waist.

The second photo was a throwback of when Ricki was a preteen. In the snap, the mother-daughter duo could once again be seen walking together, as Maynard Johnson rested an arm around her Ricki’s shoulder.

“My beautiful girl. I’ll always and forever have your back,” Maynard Johnson captioned the birthday tribute post. “I love you and am so proud of the person you are. Happy 19th Birthday @rickihendrickk You’re a gift to the world!”
