Drake Postpones Remaining Dates of Australia-New Zealand Tour

Drake has officially postponed the final four dates of his tour of Australia and New Zealand due to what is described as a “scheduling conflict.”

“We are actively working on rescheduling these dates along with adding some additional shows,” the artist’s reps said in a statement to Rolling Stone Australia-New Zealand. A rep did not immediately respond to Variety‘s request for further comment.

“All tickets for the affected shows will remain valid for the new dates. Refunds will be available for those who prefer, but please note that as these shows are sold out, any refunded tickets will be released for sale.

We sincerely apologise for the inconvenience and appreciate your patience. Drake and the entire team have had an incredible time doing these shows and are excited to return soon.

“We look forward to sharing the rescheduled dates with you as soon as possible,” the statement concludes.

The affected dates are in major markets: two dates in Australia — Brisbane on Tuesday, March 4 and a final show in Sydney on Friday, March 7 — and two nights at Spark Arena in Auckland, New Zealand on Saturday, March 15 and Sunday, March 16. The tour has already covered dates in Perth, Melbourne, Sydney, and Brisbane. He played a surprise 90-minute club set in Melbourne, featuring rare material.

The tour coincided with the Super Bowl Halftime performance by Kendrick Lamar — who performed his Drake-dissing hit “Not Like Us” in front of an estimated audience of 100 million — as well as the recent release of his joint album with PartyNextDoor, “$ome $exy $ongs 4U.”

The tour’s postponement had been speculated several days ago as tickets for the affected dates were removed from ticketing platforms.
