Donald Trump Might Have Said One Of The Most Baffling Things Of His Career In The Debate, And The Internet Is Having A Field Day

Hey, it's me, an immigrant! Boy, did ol' Donald Trump have some wacky opinions for us during tonight's presidential debate against Kamala Harris!

Alongside claiming that migrants are eating people's cats and dogs (they're not), Trump made the following statement about Harris. This is verbatim: “Now she wants to do transgender operations on illegal aliens that are in prison."

This is statament is entirely misleading. But thankfully, social media had some excellent reactions to this absolute lunacy:

In 2019, Harris answered a survey that read, “As president, will you use your executive authority to ensure that transgender and nonbinary people who rely on the state for medical care — including those in prison and immigration detention — will have access to comprehensive treatment associated with gender transition, including all necessary surgical care?" She answered "yes," citing the "medical necessity" of transgender medical care. As Michael Tyler, Harris’s campaign communications director, said this week,“That questionnaire is not what she is proposing or running on." Expressing support in a questionnaire is not the same as "wanting to do transgender operations."
