DJ Khaled Announces New Album ‘Aalam of God’ With Film Trailer Starring Mark Wahlberg and Anthony Ramos
DJ Khaled has announced his fourteenth album “Aalam of God,” which is slated for release in 2025 via We the Best/Republic Records.
In typical widescreen fashion, Khaled revealed the news of the album with a seven-minute movie album trailer co-starring Mark Wahlberg and Anthony Ramos. In it, Khaled is on the run with Ramos in possession of the album, which he says includes two Drake songs. Over FaceTime, Wahlberg commands his henchmen to track him down to get the album and it turns out Ramos is in on the plot to steal the record — up until the tables turn and Khaled escapes unscathed.

“Do me a favor, send Rihanna the record,” Khaled tells an associate as he walks onto a private jet headed to the recording studio.
Khaled compared “Aalam of God” to Jay-Z’s “The Black Album,” which was touted as the rapper’s retirement record in 2003, only with a caveat. “This is not my last album, it’s my Black album,” shared Khaled in a statement. It’s named after his five-year-old son Aalam, and he explained the meaning in a Facebook post in December.
“‘Aalam of God’ translates to ‘the world of God’ in Arabic, essentially referring to the entire universe or the realm of existence considered as being under God’s dominion and control; ‘Aalam’ simply means ‘world’ or ‘universe’ in Arabic.”
News of Khaled’s fourteenth album has been circulating for years. “Aalam of God” was initially titled “Til Next Time,” which Khaled announced with a trailer in Aug. 2023. The following day, he released “Supposed to Be Loved,” a single featuring Lil Baby, Future and Lil Uzi Vert that prominently sampled Michael Jackson’s “P.Y.T. (Pretty Young Thing).” The music mogul last released “God Did” in 2022, debuting at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 and securing five Grammy nominations.
