Delta Goodrem rumoured to be joining The Block as a judge in 2022

After nine years starring on The Voice, Delta Goodrem is rumoured to be joining the judging panel on a very different Channel Nine reality show.

The Aussie songstress is set to make a cameo on The Block this week, sparking reports that she could become a permanent addition to the series next year.

Delta’s upcoming appearance on the show is to “help the contestants prepare for the lip-syncing challenge” and check in on their renovations.

The teams each expressed their adoration for the Wings hitmaker while chatting with Woman’s Day, saying that she fit right in with everyone.

“It was great to have Delta on site, she is an incredibly talented performer,” Kirsty said, while Tanya added, “She was lovely and charming to us”.

While she only makes a brief appearance this season, there’s speculation that Delta could be joining the show full-time in 2022.

“I'm always incredibly open to finding those awesome [roles], and the right stories to be a part of,” the 36-year-old told the publication about a new TV gig.

The rumours aren’t too far fetched, as Delta announced in December that she had launched her own production company, Atlet Productions, and began an ongoing partnership with Nine “creating and producing entertainment projects”.

Last week Shaynna Blaze also announced her brand new renovating show with her children, Country Home Rescue, so there may be a spot open on The Block next year.

Nine announces massive change coming to The Block

At Nine’s 2022 Upfronts, the network revealed that a major change was coming to the 18th season of the renovation reality series.

For the first time ever, The Block will head to the bush next year to “transform a set of country houses into someone’s great Australian dream”.

While the last few seasons have been filmed with Melbourne’s city limits, Nine has reportedly bought acreage in Victoria for the upcoming season.
