Delta Goodrem rumoured to be making her return to The Voice
Fans were shocked when it was announced that long-time coach Delta Goodrem would not be taking part in the revamped season of The Voice this year.
However, thanks to current coach Guy Sebastian, the Aussie pop star may be making her return to the reality TV competition very soon.
New Idea is reporting that while Channel Seven would love to secure the current star-studded lineup of coaches for next season, they’re struggling to lock in UK songstress Rita Ora for another year.
“Rita could prove to be an issue,” their source claims. “She’s no longer in Australia, and enjoying her personal life with a new boyfriend. She’s happy - her return is currently not guaranteed.”

The 30-year-old started dating New Zealand director Taika Waititi in March while she was in Sydney filming The Voice.
While Rita may not be available, Channel Seven is allegedly “desperate” to get Delta to fill her seat and come back to the show.
Delta was a coach on The Voice from its first season in 2012 up until last year, taking a brief hiatus in 2014.
The Born To Try hitmaker reportedly had prior commitments that prevented her from signing on this season, but Guy Sebastian is said to be “instrumental” in luring her back due to their friendship and prior history working on the show together.
“Delta’s return to Channel Seven can’t be ruled out. It’s quite political, but the network loves nothing more than some friendly rivalry,” the source continues.
The insider also claims that the network is also hoping to film their spin-off series The Voice: Generations as soon as possible, making it the perfect time for Delta’s “inevitable” comeback while Rita is in the US.
Yahoo Lifestyle has contacted Channel Seven for comment.
The rumours come shortly after Guy Sebastian opened up to Yahoo Lifestyle about Delta’s absence on the show this year.
“I miss Delta,” he admitted. “She's a friend and I've worked alongside her for so many years and she felt it was time for her to move on.
“But I think it's been really nice to see Jess [Mauboy] in that seat and for her to fill it so well. No one can replace Delta, but Jess is just herself and she’s just doing her without trying to fill any shoes or anything like that.
“It’s pretty hard when you’re filling a seat where literally Delta has been there from the start and she owned that seat and did it so well, so I think Jess is doing a really great job, but of course everyone misses the original cast member of The Voice.”
