Amazon Prime Day is here and if you're on the hunt for a product that will cut off some time off your daily chore list, you're in luck.
I previously gave the ECOVACS ROBOTICS 2-in-1 vacuum cleaner and mop - the DEEBOT OZMO 950 a test a and trial and loved it and Aussies can now get their hands on the DEEBOT N8 Robot Vacuum Cleaner, the DEEBOT N8+ Robot Vacuum Cleaner and the DEEBOT OZMO 920 Robot Vacuum Cleaner for up to 33% off this Prime Day.
They've been called everything from 'game-changing' to 'marriage saviours' online. Check out my review below:
The novelty of being able to have a shower or keep working while your house gets vacuumed and mopped isn’t something that is going to wear off anytime soon.

I will admit, when I first set out to give ECOVACS ROBOTICS 2-in-1 vacuum cleaner and mop - the DEEBOT OZMO 950 - a try, I was sceptical. Mainly because I have two large dogs that shed a ridiculous amount of fur every single day.
But I can tell you now, even though things weren’t perfect, you won’t find me sweeping the house daily anymore.
The unit was relatively simple to set up. It has extra turbo suction, a four-stage mopping process, and carpet detection, so can be used in any part of the home. And the upgraded Smart Navi 3.0 navigation and mapping technology allows the device to scan the home and create a visual map.
And it has a large battery capacity, allowing it a three hour run time and will charge and resume cleaning when it runs low. And the best part, it’s all controllable via the ECOVACS app.
It took the device around 30-40mins to clean the 35m2 hard floor areas of my house, that’s the main living areas including the lounge room, kitchen, dining room and hallway.
I’ve mainly been using the direct suction inlet option which is supposed to be the best for daily cleaning as it is specifically designed to pick up hair without getting clogged by it and therefore ideal for pet owners.
The Main Brush option is best used for deep cleaning, and there is also the tangle-free inlet as another option.
Once the mop insert is filled with water the device automatically switches to mop mode. I did have to turn the water flow to high to get better results, and once I attached the slightly thicker disposable mob cloth it turned out even better.
There were not many negatives to this device at all other than a few things that I did expect given the mess my dogs can often leave behind.
The mop did a great job overall, but did struggle with more stubborn puppy footprints or drool spots, and as it always goes the direction of the longest part of the room so the mop runs in the opposite direction to my actual floorboards, which can sometimes leave things looking a little streaky.
I was also worried the dust bin looked a little small for the amount of hair likely to end up in there after a clean and for my particular case I was right. Although the app says the dust bin should be emptied every few days, I did have to empty mine after every use.
As you can see from the photo, sometimes there was even too much hair to fit. So underneath would also need a quick tidy. Like is said, my dogs lose A LOT of hair.
Overall, I was extremely surprised with how well the DEEBOT OZMO 950 stood up to what it faced at my house.
And honestly, I now can’t imagine it not simply chugging away in the background keeping my house clean, as it’s in fact doing right now, as I finish this article.
