'Daredevil: Born Again' Reboot Set to Premiere in 2025

Charlie Cox is returning to television screens as Daredevil, and the show finally has a premiere date! After an initial announcement at San Diego Comic-Con in 2022, fans had been eagerly awaiting news as to when Cox would don the vigilante suit again. Cameos in Spider-Man: No Way Home and She-Hulk could only satiate Marvel fans for so long. Now fans can officially mark their calendar.

The Disney+ superhero show will premiere on Wednesday, March 5, 2025.

Daredevil: Born Again will feature many actors reprising their roles from the Netflix series.

Dario Scardapane will serve as the executive producer and showrunner. Kevin Feige will also executive produce.

Will Punisher be in Daredevil: Born Again?

Yes, Jon Bernthal has been confirmed to be in the show and will reprise his role as Punisher.

Will Elektra be in Daredevil: Born Again?

Élodie Yung portrayed Elektra in the Netflix series but there has been no indication that she will appear in the new Disney+ show. Yung is open to returning, according to an Instagram post.

Will She-Hulk be in Daredevil: Born Again?

There has been no announcement regarding She-Hulk (played by Tatiana Maslany in the MCU) appearing in the show.

Will Muse be in Daredevil: Born Again?

Many MCU fans spotted Muse in the teaser trailer released for Daredevil: Born Again. The serial killer villain uses his victims as "street art", suggesting a darker tone for the Marvel show and perhaps earning it's TV-MA.

Is Daredevil: Born Again a reboot?

While the initial news was that there would be no crossover between the Netflix show and the new series, things seemed to have changed. According to an interview with TV Insider, Cox confirmed there is "a lot" of crossover. D'Onofrio stated that was not always the plan, but it seems that Marvel made a pivot.

Therefore, it seems the show can be classified as a "soft reboot". While not a direct sequel to the Netflix show, the two properties will be connected. The writers may have initially wanted to start from scratch in order to best fit Daredevil: Born Again into the larger Marvel Universe, but changed their plans. Cox is hoping fans of both the original and the new series will be satisfied.
