While Savre couldn't say much about how Heather will fit into the twisted world of Found, she did reveal to Parade ahead of the episode that she jumped at the chance to play the character because she's so different from Maya, the firefighter she played for seven years before Station 19 was canceled last year.
"I think the challenge of getting to play a character that was basically the extreme opposite of who Maya was. I think the only thing they have in common is their ambition, but obviously, it presents itself in different ways," Savre explained. "It was mainly that I love the show. The show is so good, and I am so grateful to be a part of it."

Heather develops an "attraction" to a member of the Mosely & Associates family, which first look photos reveal to be Trent (Brett Dalton), who brings her into the fold. As the second half of the season unfolds, her legal profession will obviously involve her with the agency.
"Her drive is very similar to Gabi’s. We’ll see how those worlds overlap," Savre revealed. Of course, we already know that Gabi (Shanola Hampton) doesn't warm up to strangers easily, so there's going to be some tension when Heather tries to step in. "I think whenever there’s two ambitious women there’s always hesitation. Where does your ambition live? Where does it come from? At first, there’s a question of these two very strong women questioning each other and their purposes and motives."
There is one case in particular that Savre was most excited to learn more about as a fan of a show and for her character Heather: The disappearance of Margaret's (Kelli Williams) son.
"I love the storyline of Margaret and her son. That’s probably the one I latch on to the most. What’s interesting is that I think Heather will also find some interest in that relationship as well," Savre teased, which definitely has our interest piqued. "That’s probably the most intriguing case."

Several details about Heather and her role with M&A are still under wraps, but Savre was able to spill about being on set and how filming the show is more joyous than you'd expect, considering the subject matter of the show.
"I’ve never met someone energetic and happy," the actress said about Hampton. "The second they call action, she’s able to turn it on. There are so many days that she had me laughing my ass off right before they call action, and I’m like, ‘No! You can’t do that!' Because I’m trying to be as serious and put together as my character is. I had so much fun working with her and everyone on Found because everyone is really very lively and fun."
Now fans will get to join in! Found returns Thursday, Jan. 16 at 10 p.m. ET. Episodes are available to stream the next day on Peacock.
