But it's getting much more attention for what it's not.

When the temperatures heat up, there's no place we'd rather be than at our local DQ grabbing one of our favorite frozen treats—those famous hand-dipped cones, creamy milkshakes, or candy-studded Blizzards. Lucky for us, DQ added a new Blizzard to its lineup, combining two sought-after flavors into one, creating quite possibly the perfect summer treat—depending on who you ask.

DQ's New Reese’s Pieces-Cookie Dough Blizzard

DQ recently launched its brand-new frozen treat, Reese's Pieces-Cookie Dough Blizzard, to help bridge the gap for those fans who can't decide between two of its most popular flavors.

With this latest Blizzard offering, you get the best of both worlds in one delicious cup. Here, you'll enjoy that rich peanut butter flavor thanks to Reese's Pieces candies and peanut butter topping mixed with the chewy texture of chocolate chip cookie dough combined with DQ's signature creamy soft serve ice cream.

Many are excited about the ice cream giant's new offering. When DQ posted about the new flavor on its Instagram account, fans said, "Yummy!" and, "I can't wait to try this!"

However, some expressed disappointment with the fact that DQ isn't bringing back its super popular S'mores Blizzard. "The continued absence of the S'more blizzard is a disgrace," said one commenter. Another added, "Bring back smores and make it permanent."

The S'mores Blizzard is a favorite among many, including DQ's own CEO. It combines the flavors of marshmallow, chocolate, and graham cracker for that campfire feel, first hitting the menu back in 2013. It was discontinued in 2020 but had a brief comeback in 2023. When DQ announced its summer lineup on Instagram (which included Brownie Batter and Picnic Peach Cobbler), many were upset to see this beloved flavor not included. "Where is the smores bliz?" said one fan, while another added, "It's a crime to not have s'mores."

While this latest flavor may not be the S'mores return some have hoped for, we still think the new Reese's Pieces Cookie Dough Blizzard has huge potential when combining two fan-favorite flavors.
