Dairy Queen Is 'Finally' Bringing Back Its Most Requested Blizzard

Social media makes it easier than ever to talk directly to our favorite fast food restaurants—and there’s no doubt they are paying attention. This year Panera brought back two beloved popular bagel flavors, McDonald’s announced the return of Snack Wraps, and Little Caesars ended the year on a high note with the return of its stuffed crust pizza. There’s a good chance that some, if not all, of these comebacks are due to fans making their voices heard.

While comment sections give us a glimpse into which items customers want, Dairy Queen recently took it a step further. It gave fans an opportunity to vote on which of its nostalgic Blizzard flavors would grace menus next year. Out of three choices—Georgia Mud Fudge, Cappuccino Heath, and S’mores—there was a clear favorite. And while we had our suspicions of which would be chosen, now it’s official:  S’mores Blizzards will be back on menus in 2025.

Dairy Queen Will Bring Back the S’mores Blizzard In 2025

The S’mores Blizzard has been a long-time favorite since its debut in 2013. It even earned a top spot on Dairy Queen CEO Troy Bader’s list of personal favorites. Soon, fans will once again be able to indulge in the creamy, chocolatey, campfire-inspired treat which is expected to be rereleased as part of Dairy Queen’s upcoming summer lineup. For those unfamiliar, the S’mores Blizzard features DQ’s signature soft serve, mini marshmallow-filled chocolate bars, marshmallows, and crushed graham cracker pieces.

Dairy Queen announced the winning flavor on Instagram, and fans flooded the comments with excitement. “2025 already looking up omg,” wrote one user, while another echoed, “10/10 amazing.” One excited fan exclaimed, “The power of the people!”

Others shared their hope that the chain will make the S’mores Blizzard available year-round. “Yay!!! But can we please make this a permanent item instead of seasonal?” inquired one user, with another suggesting, “Finally. Maybe keep it on the menu all the time.”

You can expect to see S’mores Blizzards return to menus in April 2025. But if you just can’t wait, consider whipping up a homemade blizzard, or grabbing something from DQ’s winter lineup before it’s gone.
