A KFC-obsessed Aussie couple recently tied the knot courtesy of their favourite fast food restaurant.
A KFC-obsessed Aussie couple recently tied the knot in a lavish Kentucky Fried Chicken-themed $80,000 ceremony.
It’s not every day you get to live out the wedding of your dreams, but Thanh Huynh and Brian Tran from Cabramatta in South West Sydney got just that after he popped the question with an onion ring from their favourite fast-food restaurant - Kentucky Fried Chicken.
Back in October 2023, KFC called on their fans to pop the question with the store's onion ring and capture the special moment. Well, Brian's proposal ultimately scored the couple an unforgettable wedding experience filled with bucketloads of KFC.
The loved-up couple’s special day started with a lavish loved-up ceremony hosted at the Sydney Opera House, followed by a beautiful chicken-filled picnic at Bennelong Lawn and the ultimate KFC-themed reception at Cabra-Vale Diggers.
The overjoyed pair said they couldn’t have asked for anything better, describing the day as the “most incredible day of our lives”.
“Our KFC-themed wedding was an absolute blast, and having KFC play a big role made it unforgettable,” Thanh said following their big day.
“Sharing the day with our closest friends and family made it extra special, and we're so grateful for the love and laughter everyone brought to our wedding.
The day was certainly one to remember and included a KFC bucket-themed wedding cake, KFC bucket bouquet toss, chicken-themed onesies and personalised KFC buckets for guests.
No wedding is complete without a whole lot of feed and theirs didn’t disappoint with a full KFC grazing table featuring KFC’s iconic chicken, Hot & Crispy, Popcorn Chicken and more.

Wedding entrance KFC bucket dance a highlight
Thanh and Brian have been long-time fans of KFC and say their wedding reception entrance was a highlight.
“Our entrance as a married couple to the reception was marked by a dance with custom KFC buckets – a moment that truly set the tone for the entire night!” Thanh says.
“It was hands down the most incredible day of our lives.”
The pair now plan on visiting as many KFC restaurants around the world as they can with Brian’s big dream being to try all the different international menus.
Back in 2020, Queensland couple Kate and Harrison Cann also surprised their family and friends by hosting a KFC-inspired wedding after they too won the proposal competition.
