Singh's friend said in a Facebook tribute that the comedian died "peacefully in his sleep"
Comedian Kabir Singh, a semifinalist on season 16 of America's Got Talent, has died. He was 39 years old.
Singh died on Wednesday, Dec. 4, his fiancée confirms with PEOPLE, adding a broken heart emoji.
TMZ was first to report. A toxicology was conducted to determine how he died, per the outlet.
Insiders told TMZ that Singh had been dealing with health concerns and authorities suspect he died of natural causes. The comic was said to be in San Francisco at the time of his death.
PEOPLE reached out to the San Francisco Police Department for comment.

Singh's friend, Jeremy Curry, mourned the loss on Facebook Thursday, Dec. 5. He shared a picture of the two smiling together and wrote that the late comedian "passed away peacefully in his sleep."
Curry also told fans Singh's funeral services will be held on the morning of Saturday, Dec. 14, in Hayward, Calif. He continued by asking for thoughts and prayers for Singh's loved ones and his fiancée, ending his tribute with, "I Love you bro."

Aside from appearing on America's Got Talent in 2021, Singh was also featured on Comedy Central, Family Guy and the BBC, per his Instagram bio. His profile also noted he was still performing standup, as recently as Nov. 2, in Manteca, Calif.
