Comedian Kabir 'Kabeezy' Singh Dead at 39
Kabir "Kabeezy" Singh, who competed on America's Got Talent in 2021, has died. He was just 39.
The comedian passed on Wednesday, Dec. 4, law enforcement sources confirmed to TMZ, revealing that, while they believe he may have died from natural causes, they are still investigating. An official cause of death won't be determined until they receive Singh's toxicology results, but he reportedly had a history of unspecified health issues.
Jeremy Curry, a friend of Singh's, revealed in a Facebook post on Dec. 5 that he "passed away peacefully in his sleep," while other sources confirmed to the publication that Kabir was in the San Francisco Bay Area when he passed.
The performer made it to the semifinals of the 16th season of America's Got Talent. He guest starred on Family Guy and was featured on Comedy Central, Amazon Prime, and the BBC, and also filmed a number of comedy specials throughout his career.
Prior to his time on AGT, he won the San Francisco International Comedy Competition.
It's unclear if Singh lived in San Francisco or if he was just visiting, but it appears his most recent stand-up gig happened on Nov. 2, based on his Instagram account, where he excitedly invited fans to each of his shows. His next scheduled appearance was set for Feb. 15th at Southern Regional Tech. College Foundation in Thomasville, GA, according to his website.
Singh is survived by his fiancé and other members of his family, according to Curry. His services are scheduled for Saturday, Dec. 14 in Hayward, Calif.
